Bowling For The Arts Celebrity Games - October 5, 2008
The "Bowling For The Arts" fundraiser is held annually at Jillians, Universal City, CA to raise funds for Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services' Arts Enrichment Program. Celebrities, professionals, and a community of friends enjoyed a great afternoon of fun and sportsmanship to support the Elevate Hope Foundation as they assist the needs of victims of abuse and neglect through the art of bowling!
Cast members from "Heroes", "Grey's Anatomy", "Lost", drama series "Dexter", motion picture "Red Eye", hosts from VH1, music industry personalities and more were on hand to raise awareness and much needed funds for its cause.
Celebrity guests Jack Coleman, James Pickens Jr., Beth Coleman, Lauren Velez, James Manos, Lalah Hathaway, Ananda Lewis, Harold Perrineau, Robert Shapiro, Paul Jackson, Jr., Turkish sensation Kenan Dogulu, and our very own Sheila E., were in attendance to share an intimate and fun filled afternoon with 15 very special honorees from "Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services".
It was dream come true for the honorees to meet some of their favorite celebrities as expressed by the smiles written on their faces. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a catered lunch prior to bowling!
DJ Kaleem provided the music for the event. Immediately following the games, the scores were tabulated and prizes were presented to players with the top scores in the Winner's Circle hosted by EHF Chair; Sheila E. and CEO; Lynn Mabry.
As an extra added bonus, the Vista honorees were presented with unexpected prizes for their top scores such as gift cards, MP3 video players, the new iPod Nano Chromatic, and the grand-prize winner was awarded a MacBook Laptop. The Winner's Circle presented the general top scorers of 2008 with the following:
